Weddings & Portraits & Parties, Oh My!

It's been a busy last 2 weeks! A new niece joined our family (at age 14, via Thailand), I had 4 separate family Christmas celebrations to attend, my work for Earthbound, a couple of wedding consultations, and somewhere in there, I photographed a wedding, three family portrait sessions, and a birthday party. Here's a little peek at the work of the last couple weekends!

On December 15th, I photographed Becca and Cleave's wedding at the Dallas LDS Temple and one of the Allen LDS Stake Centers.

Last weekend, I photographed the Hoffman and Hunt families.

And finally, I photographed little Lorelai's 1st birthday party yesterday, and the Conn family today.

I am A-OK with being busy in this way!

A Cute & Cozy Chestnut Square Wedding: Colleen & David

Brace yourselves for one of my favorite weddings I've shot to date. The scene: a warm but beautiful day at the beginning of September, at the historic village of Chestnut Square in McKinney. The players: David and Colleen, a handsome couple with impeccable taste and practical sensibilities. They found me through one of my favorite wedding blogs - A Practical Wedding - so I knew we were a great match from the very start.

There were so many unique elements to the day, but here's a random list of some of my favorites: handfasting, the bride's tardis bracelet, gorgeous daylight, dancing the time warp, the bride's dress (it was her mother's!), the groom's brocade vest, miniature pies, a homemade cake topper, sweet and simple florals, blueberry centerpieces, Chester the resident cat, and so many other things that you'll see as you look through the photos below. Enjoy! I know I did.
